Is Evermail GDPR compliant?
Evermail is designed for GDPR readiness. It supports data subject access requests (export), right to erasure (permanent deletion with audit trail), data portability (EML/MBOX export), and EU data residency. All operations are logged for accountability.
Where is the data stored?
All data is stored in EU data centers (West Europe region) on Microsoft Azure. Email metadata is in Azure SQL, file content in Azure Blob Storage. Both are encrypted at rest with TDE and SSE respectively.
Can I get an immutable archive?
Enterprise plans support GDPR Archive with immutable (WORM) storage. Once enabled, archived emails cannot be modified or deleted until the retention period expires. This satisfies regulatory requirements for tamper-proof archiving.
