What is Evermail?

Evermail is a cloud-based email archive platform that lets you upload, search, and manage email archives from any source. Upload your MBOX, PST, OST, EML, or Google Takeout files and instantly search across all your archived emails with full-text search and AI-powered features.

How do I get started?

1. Create a free account at evermail.com
2. Upload your first email archive (drag and drop or browse)
3. Wait for processing to complete (usually under 5 minutes for archives under 1 GB)
4. Start searching your emails using the search bar

What email formats are supported?

Evermail supports all major email archive formats:

• MBOX — Used by Thunderbird, Apple Mail, and many email clients
• PST/OST — Microsoft Outlook archives
• EML — Individual email files
• Google Takeout — Gmail export archives
• ZIP bundles — ZIP files containing any of the above formats

Is there a file size limit?

How does search work?

Evermail uses full-text search across email subjects, bodies, sender names, sender addresses, and recipients. Type any keyword or phrase in the search bar to find matching emails. Use filters to narrow results by date range, sender, or attachment type.

What are AI summaries?

AI summaries (available on Team and Enterprise plans) use advanced AI to generate concise summaries of email threads and mailboxes, helping you quickly understand the content of large archives without reading every message.

Is my email data secure?

Yes. Evermail uses:

• Encryption at rest — All stored data is encrypted using Azure SQL TDE and Blob Storage SSE
• Encryption in transit — All connections use TLS 1.3
• Tenant isolation — Your data is completely isolated from other users
• GDPR compliance — Full audit logging and data export/deletion capabilities

What are security levels?

Evermail offers three security levels per mailbox:

• Full Service (default) — Evermail processes and indexes your emails for full search and AI features
• Confidential Processing — Emails are decrypted only inside a secure hardware enclave (TEE)
• Zero-Access — Client-side encryption; Evermail stores only encrypted data and cannot access your content

What plans are available?

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes, you can change your plan at any time from Settings. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.

Do you offer annual pricing?

Yes — annual plans include 2 months free (pay for 10 months, get 12).
